The Witcher: Blood Origin started life on a cafe napkin. Declan de Barra, a member of The Witcher’s writing room, had been invited by Netflix to pitch an idea centered around the Conjunction of the Spheres – a cataclysmic event when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves collide. It’s been a long-time speculation by fans of the Call of Duty franchise that the series ‘bends the truths of history to fit its own storyline’. Miscellaneous and arcade-like additions to their multiplayer experiences are seemingly the most evident ways that the history books can be altered, such as adding a 2007-made trophy system into a 1950s post-World War 2 game like Vanguard. It ruins realism somewhat, but does make for a better game.
